Market analysis and research

Market analysis, benchmarking, is the modern method which, based on information collected, provides learning and very simple comparison and analysis of different performance solutions. 
By using the small research teams which are specialized for a particular technology and by using professional external service we are able to provide to each customer the solution which will meet his requirements, that is to provide support for them in creating an optimal product. 

Product development

Each product has its own lifetime, from concept to realization. By multiannual experience in the area of development within automotive industry and by working for different OEMs (original equipment manufacturers), such as the companies Renault, Nissan, VW, Ford, Mitsubishi and other, the development teams professionally and quickly, within projects and related tasks, participate in multicultural and global projects. By using the experience and modern tools, together with the customer they develop the product from a styling phase to the optimal product. By using Catia V5 and PDM/PLM we follow the article lifetime, along with providing service of:

  • 3D modeling of circuits and subcircuits of products
  • Creation of complete project and technical documentation
  • CAE – Moldflow analyses, FEM analyses 

3D modeling is carried out strictly according to certain rules and standards of the customer in order to successfully install the final product into a complex system of a car which must meet the strict safety standards and the European and global regulation. Doing so the final product by its quality and appearance must awake the passion for driving in the final customer, while offering top convenience and safety.

Process development

The process development implies a detailed specification of production process, from incoming of materials to the output of finished products, while in a standardized, documented and associated manner the development and flow of production process are planned along with continuous quality control and meeting the specific customer needs. In R&D center of AD Plastik, the quality-oriented processes provide the creation of competitive advantage because the company invests in innovation and improving of know-how with the aim of meeting the technical and quality requirements.

While launching new projects, we design processes by making them simple and quality designed in order to ensure the permanent product quality and by making them sufficiently stable in order to ensure unobstructed flow of production process. With the constant interaction and communication with the customer and product designers, we are able to combine also two technologies in one product, in order to provide „cost-effective“ solutions to our customers, making sure that all technical requirements are met.

Reversible engineering

For the purpose of reversible engineering we use the modern methods of 3D rapid prototyping and 3D scanning, that is three-dimensional prototype samples design from materials which are similar to the real product and three-dimensional optical measuring systems.

We use the 3D digitization, that is 3D scanning during the process of benchmarking, while making a 3D digital database based on which is very easy to start with the design or redesign of products. The other use of this modern method is the control and measurement of forms, dimensions of finished products, while ensuring to the customer a precise picture and clear measurement chart. 

Rapid prototyping or 3D printing is a technique by which in several hours a virtual CAD design can be turned into a physical model. 3D printing device reads the data from the 3D models, by arranging them into a micron layers which, depending on the type of device, are combined into a compact product. The advantages of this technique are  large, but three of them are the most important for compliance of the final product with the basic principle 3F (fit, form, function).

Product validation

The global automotive industry requires the highest level of product quality, productivity and competitiveness, as well as continuous improvements. In order to achieve these objectives, all the AD Plastik plants are certified according to quality management standards for the suppliers in automotive industry ISO/TS 16949.

One of the goals related to quality is to take care of environmental protection in order to permanently reduce the negative environmental impact. ISO 14001:2004 is a standard that specifies requirements for an environmental management system and provides a framework which the company follows in order to ensure the effective environmental management system. All the plants of AD Plastik Group, except for the plant in Kaluga (which is in process of preparation for obtaining the certificate), are certified according to this standard.

Our plant in Solin which produces the food packaging is certified according to the food safety standards (HACCP).

Validation of the product implies a laboratory and dimensional testing, that is measurements of products in different stages of the project according to the specific requirements and methods of testing agreed with the customer, whereby we confirm that a particular product which is produced according to the planned process solution meets the technical requirements and requirements related to the external appearance of the product. We perform the laboratory testings by using our own equipment according to the measurement specifications for whose performance we possess the certificates. We cooperate closely also with external laboratories / institutes in case when a certain examination, which the customer required and agreed, cannot be carried out. We perform dimensional measurements in two modernly equipped measuring centers.

Measuring center

The modernly equipped measuring centers provide the measurements of the most complex forms of products and the creation of measurement reports in accordance with customer requirements.

Laboratory

The modernly equipped laboratory for testing raw materials and products by using certified devices and equipment. Quality and professional staff independently develop new methods and devices for testing physical, mechanical, thermal, electrical characteristics, vehicles insolation, aging and weathering, behavior under UV light, ball impact resistance, pendulum impact testing, resistance to chemicals, abrasion resistance, endurance.
